Cotswold Line provides fast link to Big Feastival

People heading to the Big Feastival at Blur music star Alex James’s farm at Kingham can leave the car behind and catch a Cotswold line train to the event.

Kingham station is a stone’s throw from Churchill Heath Farm, where the 2023 Big Feastival will take place from Friday, August 25, to Sunday, August 27, in fields adjacent to the railway line.

GWR’s Cotswold Line trains, which link London, Reading and Oxford with Worcester and Hereford, are scheduled to operate to normal timetables throughout the event, with hourly trains in each direction, plus extra peak period services on the Friday. However, if a planned strike by train managers who are members of the RMT union goes ahead, trains are not expected to run on Saturday, August 26.

Passengers from the East Midlands, Birmingham, Cheltenham, Gloucester and South Wales can change from CrossCountry trains to GWR’s Cotswold Line services at Worcestershire Parkway station to reach the event.
