Special Events
We arrange special charter trains from time to time to popular destinations around the country.
For many years we have worked with Great Western Railway to organise charters to destinations on their network, and beyond.
Due to the emergency closure of the Didcot-Oxford line to all trains, because of problems with a bridge over the River Thames near Culham, the planned charter to Torbay in Devon on Saturday, April 22, has been cancelled

Annual General Meeting
The CLPG's 2023 AGM at the Women's Institute Hall in New Road, Moreton-in-Marsh, will now go ahead as planned on Saturday, May 13.
Due to industrial action by the Aslef and RMT unions over pay and conditions, there may be some disruption to train services on the day, so if you are planning to travel to the meeting by train, check if trains are operating before setting out to a station.

Other Events
As the Group’s celebrations of its 40th anniversary in 2018 showed, remembrance of anniversaries of the origins and key dates of the railway is an important activity for us. To celebrate the anniversary the group commissioned a video charting the key events that had been achieved during the 40 years.
