Excursion Steam Train From Toddington to Broadway and Cheltenham Race Course
Saturday April 21st 2018
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Cotswold Line Promotion Group and the re-opening of Broadway station a special steam hauled excursion train is being organised, in conjunction with with GWSR, to operate from Toddington station to Broadway and Cheltenham Race Course on Saturday April 21st 2018.
The special train will depart from Toddington station at 6pm to operate to the newly re-opened Broadway staion and then to Cheltenham Race Course and back to Toddington. The train is expected to be back at Toddington by 8.15pm.
The Flag and Whistle cafe at Toddington station will be open before the trip for the service of refreshments and light meals.
The return fare on the train is £15 for CLPG members and £17 for non-members; for children under 15 the fare is £12.
GENERAL INFORMATION
SEATING. The train will be made up of vintage rolling stock and will be a mixture of compartment coaches and open saloon coaches.
It is not possible to reserve seats
CHILDREN. All children must be accompanied by an adult. The reduced rates apply to children aged 5 to 15 years inclusive.
CATERING FACILITIES
Please note that it is not permitted to take your own food on to the train.
The Flag and Whistle Café will be open until the train leaves at 18.00
Hot and cold drinks and snacks will be available for sale at the buffet on the train.
A Ploughman’s Supper plate (Ham or Cheese) can be provided on the train at a cost of £7, served at your seat.
The Café could be kept open to serve food after the train returns to Toddington if there is sufficient interest. Please indicate your preference on the booking form.
ON BOARD SERVICES
CLPG stewards and GWSR Staff will be on board.
BOOKING CONDITIONS
All seats must be booked and paid for in advance.
Every effort will be made to run the train and provide advertised facilities. CLPG (the organiser) cannot accept liability for any alteration, delay, curtailment or cancellation of the train or failure to provide an advertised facility, if this is outside its control. If the train is cancelled by the organiser, a full refund of ticket money will be given. No liability for any consequential loss can be accepted. In the event of a request to cancel a booking more than a week before the running of the train, the organiser will consider a repayment, subject to a 10% administration charge. Requests for refunds made within a week of the date of the train will be refused unless the ticket(s) can be resold to other passengers. If granted, such refunds will be subject to a 20% administration charge.

It is expected that tickets will be sent out 1 to 2 weeks before the date of the trip.
