Cotswold Line services altered due to engineering work

Engineering work by Network Rail means there are a number of changes to train services on the Cotswold Line during July.

On Sundays July 7 and July 14, until about 12.45pm, trains will only operate between Oxford, Worcester and Hereford, due to work taking place between Oxford and Didcot Parkway, with buses will replacing for this part of journeys between the Cotswold Line, Reading and London. From 12.45pm, a normal service train service will operate through to and from London.

On Sunday, July 28, all trains from London Paddington to Oxford and stations to Worcester and Hereford will depart from London up to five minutes earlier than usual.

  • There will also be major alterations to all train services in the Gloucester area due to engineering work from Sunday, July 21, until Friday, July 26, with many trains unable to call at Gloucester. Replacement bus links will operate between Gloucester and Cheltenham Spa and to Newport. For more information about GWR and CrossCountry services during this work, click here.
