Film event celebrates Honeybourne anniversary

The Cotswold Line Promotion Group is pleased to present an evening of railway nostalgia to mark 40 years since the reopening of Honeybourne station.

Rail historian and archivist Michael Clemens will present a selection of films featuring steam trains on the Cotswold Line and in the Vale of Evesham that were made by his late father Jim during the last years of steam operations on British Railways.

The event is on Saturday, October 23, from 7pm to 9.15pm, at Honeybourne Village Hall, which is in Harvest Close, just off Weston Road, at the south end of the village. The hall is about 15 minutes’ walk from Honeybourne station.

Tickets are £5 on the door.

  • This event was originally planned to take place in May, the month of the actual 40th anniversary of the station’s reopening, but was postponed due to coronavirus restrictions.
