Pulhams Coaches, which runs bus routes serving two stations on the Cotswold Line, has been taken over by major bus operator the Go-Ahead Group.
Bourton-on-the-Water-based Pulhams runs three routes connecting with trains on the Cotswold Line:
- 51 – between Moreton-in-Marsh station and Stratford upon Avon, via Shipston-on-Stour
- 801 – between Moreton-in-Marsh station and Cheltenham, via Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water
- 802 – linking Kingham station with Bledington, Stow-on-the Wold, the Rissingtons and Bourton-on-the-Water
Managing director Andrew Pulham, the fourth generation of his family to run the business since it was founded in 1880, will continue to oversee operations as part of Go-Ahead’s Oxford Bus Company division.
The buses and coaches will retain Pulhams’ familiar red and cream livery.
