Changes to late-night trains for engineering work

Late-night trains on the Cotswold Line will be affected by Network Rail track maintenance work in mid-December and again in January.

From Monday, December 11, to Thursday, December 14, and from Monday, January 8, to Thursday, January 11, 2024, the following changes will apply:

  • The 21.53 from London Paddington to Worcester Shrub Hill make an extra stop at Didcot Parkway to set down passengers for a rail connection to Oxford and will then run non-stop to Worcester using the route via Stroud.
  • The 22.51 from Paddington to Worcestershire Parkway will terminate at Oxford.

Buses will replace both these trains at stations between Oxford and Worcester.

  • The 22.00 from Hereford to London Paddington will terminate at Worcester Shrub Hill. A non-stop bus will link Worcester and Oxford, with an onward rail connection to London. A separate bus will run from Worcester to intermediate stations and then Oxford, but there will not be a connection to London from this bus.
