A community engagement event will take place in Moreton-in-Marsh on Friday, August 2, and Saturday, August 3, for people to see plans for a new transport hub at the town’s station and have a say about the proposals.
The event will take place at the Redesdale Hall, in the High Street, from 6pm to 8.30pm on the Friday evening and 10am to 3pm on the Saturday. All are welcome to attend.
The proposals include 50 new car parking spaces on the site of the former Royal British Legion club, a new bus stop area and a taxi rank, plus a passenger drop-off and pick-up area.
If you are not able to attend the event, the details will be posted on the Transport Hub page of the town council’s website after the event. Comments can be sent by email to office@moretoninmarshtowncouncil.gov.uk
The council and Great Western Railway bought the Royal British Legion site, which is next to the station approach road, in 2021 after a change in rail industry regulations allowed GWR to become a partner in the land purchase.Click here for details.
