Excursion offers day out on Cambrian Coast

The CLPG will not be running a charter train this year, due to the continuing challenges caused by the Covid pandemic, but there is still the chance to enjoy a long-distance journey direct from a Cotswold & Malvern Line station in September.

Pathfinder Railtours, our partners on the Cotswold-Eden Express in 2019, are running an extra Cambrian Coast Express excursion from Bristol Parkway to the Welsh coast and Pwllheli on Wednesday, September 8, after the first train, running in late August, sold out.

The train wil pick up passengers en route at Worcestershire Parkway – and Cheltenham Spa, Ashchurch for Tewkesbury and Bromsgrove – before running to Wales via Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Wellington.

Passengers will be able to get off – and board the return train – at Barmouth, Minfford and Porthmadog stations, as well as Pwllheli.
